Anyway, this second piece was much more convincing. I'm not 100% sure it's a Photoshop job, but it probably is. Snopes seems to think it's staged, but I think it's more likely someone composited a photo of the anti-smoking poster onto the ceiling over these guys.

So in any case, the whole 'this is the ceiling mural of a smoker's lounge in a hotel' bit is unlikely. Apocryphal. Which hotel? Where was that again? Because as clever as it is, I have a hard time picturing a Hilton anywhere that's really willing to alienate their customers. And not all the people who book into hotels are non-smokers, and not all smokers have a sense of humor about their deadly little addiction.
So for what it's worth, even if it's not quite worth a thousand, good Photoshopping.
