Black Olive, Anchovy & Date 'Za

Before settling on the Romano sandwich from Carollo's in the River Market (mortadella, prosciutto & provolone), I almost went into Original for a slice of pizza. Then I said to myself, Self, you just put dough in the fridge to rise last night. You're having pizza for supper.

And so I did. Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, anchovies, black olives, cracked black pepper and dates. Good combination. Might be even better with some green olives to introduct a sour contrast to the sweet dates and the salty anchovies.
