I spotted an old gas station for sale. It's maybe one of the ones that got me thinking of turning one into a house back when I was in high school (it's across the street from North).
But alas, I looked it up and they're asking McMansion money for it. Despite the fact that a series of unlikely businesses have failed, it's priced like good commercial real estate.
If I had $400,000 to spend on a home, I'd probably do my monolithic concrete nautilus shell house.
