We went and drove through Candy Cane Lane and whatnot tonight, because I won't have the honyocks again until 10:00 Christmas Eve, and by then it will be time to hang stockings by the stair rail with care.
The thing that's remarkable about this street is how long they've kept it up. I mean, there's a few Scrooges at the periphery, but basically the whole cul-de-sac participates, a state of affairs going back almost 50 years.
There used to be a Jewish family along here, who always put Hannakuh lights up instead.
People can be so cool sometimes.
