Pride

Em sang the National Anthem to kick off a football game this afternoon.

I wasn't there, I was at work. I got this totally second hand from my ex-wife, that she did awesome.

Thing is, she signed up for this. It wasn't pushed on her in any way. And according to the Artist Formerly Known she was on pitch and got the high notes and everything. It's a hard song, the National Anthem. Stupid but hard.

I wish I had been there, though. I remember about five minutes ago when this same kid crumbled at the thought of playing in a piano recital for 15 people, eight of whom were relatives.
