Em had Theater Camp last week, culminating in a performance Friday night. Her favoritest cousin in the world went to camp with her, so she got a big dose of Cuz to prime her for her upcoming expedition to the American Girl museum.
Em used to get terrible stage fright, and she's still happy to be stuck in the back row because of her height, but she's gotten a ton more comfortable with the stage.
We thought Mo would have to sit at the back of the auditorium so she could be walked around the commons if she got squirrelly, but she wanted to sit down near the front with everyone else. She sat pretty good, too, she must really have wanted to be part of the group, which is unusual for her.
Em's Cuz had a solo. Em is starting to get pissed when she doesn't get such things, which I figure is progress, too. Time was when she'd have wilted to go on even as a part of the chorus.
And of course Grandpa Calvin was on hand with the camera I came close to buying myself last Christmas. Heck of a camera, though it's not exactly pocket-sized. He did get a shot of Em's poster for the show, which I missed altogether.
