I lost part of the chest strap for my Camelbak, and it seemed a humanitarian crisis until Corinna walked me through fixing it. I got to add a reflector (the parachute buckle I bought at the fabric store had one embedded in it) and I had fun playing with a lighter to seal up the ends of the nylon strap.
An earlier edition of me would have probably bought a new Camelbak, especially when he saw a neato Hi-Viz green one at Mickey's the other day, but that neon pack was fifty bucks and the total at Joanne was less than four bucks.
