
I need to redistribute the pepper lights and probably kill the tiny string of buit-ins that still lights up (not having the patience to replace tiny bulb after tiny bulb to find the culprit).

I'm sure there's a good electrical reason why it's hard to make a string of lights that, when a bulb fries, only that bulb goes dark. You'd know for sure which bulb to replace, and if you missed one or two it wouldn't even be noticeable.
