Part of Em's Christmas from a grandparent, we ended up at the KC Rep's A Christmas Story.
Really good adaptation.
I almost left my camera in the car, I knew photography during the show would be verboten.
So glad I didn't: they had Santa Claus, they had cut-outs for the bunny PJs, the snow suit and the flag pole.
They had the lamp. Gotta get me one of those. I've seen the movie a million times, never wanted the lamp. Now I need to get one and put it in my front window.
John Bolton, who plays the Dad really threw himself into the role. A great, ridiculous role, but very human. All the performances were really top notch, and maybe it's the writing, but the Dad made the thing for me.
