Motivation

The school is long sense closed but the grounds of this middle school building by my work serves as a practice field for the neighborhood's youth sport. Lacross, soccer, football, it's the same group of boys from what I can tell, they just change equipment with the seasons.

For football, they've brought these enormous yellow barrels out. I wondered what they used them for, and asked an adult through the fence the other day.

"What, do you take the kids who aren't cutting it and put them in barrels?"

"Yep," came the answer. "And then we put them out on the highway against a bridge support to make sure the other kids know they have to run fast and hit hard."
