Okay, I don't normally eat out for lunch. I had brought my lunch as usual, in fact. But my coworkers were all ordering from this new pizza joint around the corner with slices 'as big as your head.'

And I make a good pie, but I haven't made pizza lately because it heats the kitchen so much.

So I caved and ordered. Two slices, one anchovy/white sauce, one pesto/sausage.



The slices are bigger than my head, I'll say that. But I got about half as much change back as I expected. So either I misread the menu or this will go in the Max's Autodiner column of places that are good and nearby but out of my depth financially.

On the plus side, one slice was plenty of lunch. So my $13 covered two meals anyway.
