As we emerged from the Kemper Museum, we saw some people waiting for something. Then we saw what they were waiting for. A bunch of Art Institute kids getting ready for a Día de los Muertos processional.
Really, this is the kind of thing that makes it look like all those student loans to attend the Art Institute might be worth it.
Some of them seemed surprised that a bunch of folks with cameras were lined up to shoot this event. I assume a few of them knew about it in advance, as opposed to just stumbling out the side door of the Kemper Museum and wondering what the hell was going on.
Once again I wished I had some wider angle glass for my camera.
