The occasion was my brother's birthday, and we met for brunch at Succotash over at 26th & Holmes for the occasion.
I suggested Sheila Kemper Dietrich Park, which is only a block a way, as a place to hang out, especially for my nephews. But everyone had a great time there. How can you not with a sailboat and a dragon?
I remember this park from my own childhood, I think from a school field trip or two to Kaleidoscope at Crown Center. They've recently redone it, and did a great job of it. Even the adults liked playing on the equipment.
By way of a very brief restaurant review, Succotash is excellent and reasonable. Hippie homestyle, I guess would be the way to describe it.
